Bears Songs and Fingerplays

Five Bears in a Bed
(tune:  Ten in a Bed)

There were five bears in her bed,
  (hold up five fingers)
And the little one said,
"Roll over!  Roll Over!"
  (roll hands over each other)
So they all rolled over,
And one fell out.
(one hand rolls to one side)

(Repeat with four, three, two, and one)

There were no bears in her bed,
  (hold up fist)
And the little one said,
"Good night!"
(lay head on hands and close eyes)

Bears Everywhere

Bears, bears, bears everywhere!
  (point in different directions)
Bears climbing stairs.
  (Make climbing motion)
Bears sitting on chairs.
  (sitting motion)
Bears collecting fares.
(reach out, as if taking money)
Bears giving stares.
  (eyes wide open, look around)
Bears washing hairs.
  (hair-washing motion)
Bears, bears, bears everywhere!
  (point)

Fuzzy Wuzzy

Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear
Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair.
Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy,
Was he?

The Bear

Here is a cave.
Inside is a bear.
Now he comes out
To get some fresh air.

He stays out all summer.
In sunshine and heat.
He hunts in the forest
For berries to eat.

When snow starts to fall,
He hurries inside
His warm little cave,
And there he will hide.

Snow covers the cave
Like a fluffy white rug.
Inside the bear sleeps
All cozy and snug.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn around.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, touch the ground.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear,  show your shoe
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, that will do!

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, go upstairs
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say your prayers.

Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, turn off the light.
Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, say goodnight.

There Once Were Three Bears
(Tune: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star)

There once were three brown bears
Mother, father, baby bear.
Mother's food was way too cold
Father's food was way too hot
Baby's food was all gone
Someone ate it, so he cried.
