2012 Story Time Themes

Here is my proposed schedule of themes for this first session (September through December 2012):

September 13:
"A My Name is Alice"

September 20:
"Put on My Dancing Shoes"

September 27:
"Outrageous Hats & Sensible Shoes"

October 4:
"Woof & Wag"

October 11:
"Uh-Oh, Accidents"

October 18:
"Meow & Squeak"

October 25:
"Things That Go Bump"

November 1:
"Whatcha Gonna Wear"

November 8:
"Gators and Crocs"

November 15:
"Kansas Reads to Preschoolers"

November 22:
Thanksgiving - Library Closed - No story time

November 29:
"As Funny As a Barrel of Monkeys"

December 6:
"Jammy Jamboree"

December 13:
"Baker's Dozen" - (12-12-12)

New Year of Story Times

It is almost time to begin another year of Family Story Time here at our library...just about a week away.   I always get excited about this time, and yet a little nervous, too. I'm not sure where the nervousness comes from, because it always goes fine, and we have a good time.  I take that back; I think I do know where the nervousness comes from. It comes from not knowing what kind of group of numbers of participants I am going to get.  It's anyone's guess.  My daughter is always a shoe-in, however, she's in second grade now. She really enjoys hearing stories and doing crafts and games and activities, so I'm sure she is good for this year.  But, for how long will she think it's still cool or fun ?
